The Challenge
Cats are curious, stubborn, and endlessly clever, which means they often end up where they shouldn't be. From knocking plants off shelves to sneaking onto kitchen counters, traditional deterrents haven't kept up.
Old solutions like spray cans with motion sensors or harsh mats create stress for pets and frustration for owners. What was missing was a safe, modern, reliable way to set boundaries without the mess, the waste, or the guilt.

The Product
The Skedaddler is a humane, automated pet deterrent designed to keep your cats off your counters, tables, and other no-go zones. Using advanced laser-based detection insted of outdated thermal sensors, it responds only when needed.
No sprays, no refills, no stress. Built to last, it's safe for pets, simple to use, and effective for everyday use.

My Story
I'm Daniel, a research & development mechanical engineer with two cats, Willow and Edna. Before they even met face-to-face, they were fighting under the doors with violent hissing. The struggle to integrate them lasted more than a year.
Frustrated by motion-triggered devices that rely on basic thermal detection (and the false alarms and stresses those cause), I set out to build a better, humane solution using modern electronics and intelligent design.
The Skedaddler was built bootstrapped from my own workbench and basic 3d printers. No investors, just persistence, late nights, and hands-on testing until I had something good enough for my own pets. What began as a necessity for my cats has grown into a mission to give pet parents everywhere the modern solutions we've always deserved.
